Tofu Scramble

easy turmeric tofu scramble

This is a quick, savory breakfast option. Turmeric tofu scramble can substitute your usual eggs for a cholesterol free, plant-based option.

Ingredients:

  • 1 block of tofu (I prefer firm but for this recipe it can be normal, soft, or firm)

  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder

  • Sprinkle of garlic powder

  • Salt + black pepper to taste

You can use either a cheese grater or your handles to crumble the tofu in a pan on medium heat. Add in all the spices and nutritional yeast. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until desired dryness (the shorter amount of time it cooks the more moisture the tofu holds).

Enjoy plain or with a tortilla, toast, avocado… the possibilities are endless!
