Tom Lake:

By: Ann Patchett

Listen, I’m sure if you are a sucker for an atypical love story you may enjoy this book.

However, I didn’t.

Tom Lake tells a story from a woman’s grown adult and young adult perspective. The story jumps back and forth in time which is a unique writing style that I did enjoy but ultimately led to you knowing how the story ends just not exactly how she got there. It was predictable which is fine but not interesting enough in the story line to keep me intrigued. This was definitely more sophisticated and could be geared to younger adult readers I just was expecting more after all of the reviews I heard.
