Viral Turkish Pasta (GF, Veg)
Worth the hype…
This pasta is my new hyperfixation meal. So filling, satiating, and flavorful!
The mix of the cold yogurt sauce and hot meaty topping is a combo I didn’t know my taste buds needed… This will be your next favorite dish.
An easy recipe that allows for leftovers that will last you days.
Ingredients:
GF Pasta (I used the Trader Joe’s Brown Rice Fusili)
Full Fat Greek Yogurt
6 cloves of garlic
Trader Joes Soyrizo
1 small yellow onion
3 Tbsp Butter
Olive Oil to saute onion
Fresh Parsley (to top)
Fresh cut cherry/grape tomatoes (halved)
Paprika
Salt
Directions:
1. Mince or use a garlic press to chop the 6 cloves of garlic and add to the yogurt container. Add in about ½ tsp of salt and mix. Let yogurt mix sit in the fridge while the rest cooks.
2. Boil pasta water, cook pasta according to packaging.
3. While the pasts is cooking, dice yellow onion and saute in medium pan with olive oil until translucent
4. Add in soyrizo to the onions and cook for about 5-6 minutes until cooked all the way through
5. In a small sauce pan or in the emptied pasta pot add in butter and a generous sprinkle of paprika.
6. In your serving bowl, layer pasta, then a healthy dollop of garlic yogurt sauce, next add the hot soyrizo/onion blend. Drizzle paprika and butter sauce over the dish and top with fresh tomatoes and chopped parsley!
YUM YUM YUM. Enjoy!
